Family Counselling

Dynamics in families often change as family members go through different stages of development. Sometimes this may result in conflict, misunderstanding and changes in behaviour.

Family counselling may help with issues regarding parenting, how the family unit functions, separation or divorce, remarriage, financial problems, or living with someone with a mental or terminal illness.

Counselling can help teach and improve communication and conflict resolution skills. It can help family members better understand each other, or reach agreements on issues they are facing.

Counselling sessions may be arranged to discuss or work through different concerns that family members have. It can involve individual sessions for parents, or for the child, or whole of family sessions.
